Welcome to the Faculty of Filosofía y Letras of the University of Valladolid!

We are aware of your concerns and worries when you arrive at the University. It is an important change towards maturity and personal independence, and an extra effort and commitment is required of you. From this Faculty, which will be your home for the next few years, we want to help you so that your incorporation is easy and enriching.

To this end, we have set up a support program, the Mentor Program, whose aim is to accompany new students, like you, during their first months, offering the help and experience of other veteran students, from higher years – mentors – who have also gone through the same situation as you and who, throughout their academic life, have overcome fears and difficulties.

The program is free and voluntary, and with the help of your mentor, you will learn what you need to know about the University, the Faculty and your Degree:

• Academic information: study plans, choice of subjects, free credits, virtual campus, library, etc..,
• Administrative information and regulations: scholarships and grants, validations, enrolment procedures and changes, mobility programmes, continuation and continuity regulations, organisation, structure and operation.
• Instrumental information: libraries, website, social networks, Uva mail, etc.
• Services and activities: accommodation, transport, university canteens, sports and cultural activities, associations and representation, volunteering, international cooperation, social aid, etc.

All of this will make your time at university easier, it will allow you to make the most of these years of training, and will favor your personal development, your social relations and your academic results.
